Fine grinding and superfinishing are ball end processing procedures, higher than that of grade G40 steel ball processing is generally used superfinishing process. Requirements of steel ball final dimension deviation, geometric accuracy, surface roughness, surface quality and burn all technical regulations, to achieve lapping or superfinishing process procedure.
Diameter tolerance and geometric accuracy check ball, must be measured in the provisions on special instrument. Fine surface of the workpiece after lapping roughness and surface quality inspection, commonly used in the spotlight next inspection. If there is a dispute, can check at 90 fold magnification, and compared with the corresponding standard photo. The quality of the workpiece surface and surface superfinishing roughness after inspection, to the number of extraction of certain workpiece at 90 fold magnification and check standard photo. The surface roughness of visual when in doubt, can be detected in the surface roughness instrument.
Burn inspection method for fine grinding, superfinishing adopted random sampling inspection, sampling quantity and quality standard should be consistent with the provisions of the standard of burn.
The reason the surface roughness is not good:
1 processing amount is too small, the processing time is too short.
Trench 2 grinding disk is too shallow, the contact surface groove and the workpiece is too small.
3 hardness of lapping plate is too high or uneven hardness, and chlamydia and porosity.
Adding 4 grinding paste is too much, or abrasive particle through thick.
5 grinding disk groove is too dirty, iron or other sundries.
Local surface rough degree is not good reasons are: rotating groove of the grinding disc is too shallow, workpiece contact area is too small; the grinding disc groove angle is too small, so that the workpiece rotation is not flexible; the upper grinding disc pressure slants small, so that the sliding between the workpiece and grinding wheel.
