A powerful rocket carrying the National Reconnaissance Office satellite was launched into orbit last Wednesday from the California coast.
235 feet of the Delta IV Heavy rocket is scheduled at 10:52 minutes off from Vandenberg Air Force Base, according to United Launch Alliance.
Classification rocket is set to send the spacecraft into orbit, which is responsible for U.S. intelligence-gathering satellites NRO.
Air Force security and police have closed a nearby location as a precaution.
This is the second, Delta IV Heavy rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base will be launched. In January 2011, a freight train of sound waves loudly in a small town of about 43,000 near Lompoc sweep. Some people reported hearing the roar of the rocket as far away as 50 kilometers.
United Launch Alliance, a Lockheed - Martin and Boeing, a joint venture with their Atlas and Delta rocket program of the U.S. government to provide space launch services.
